Cotton Warehouse

The cotton industry is a steady one with high demand for U.S. cotton exports from around the globe. With so many bales in motion, storage becomes a critical part of the cotton logistics plan.

When shipments are stalled because there’s nowhere for cotton to go between stages in the supply chain, problems begin. The entire workflow is disrupted, limiting sales, delaying shipping, and increasing costs to you.

There’s also the issue of bales being damaged when improperly stockpiled due to a lack of sufficient cotton storage. This is where Moultrie Warehouse and Storage step in with a cotton warehouse.

See the Moultrie Difference

Moultrie Warehouse and Storage is a local Moultrie company. We’ve been serving businesses across Georgia for more than 20 years. Through our nine warehouses, we store various items, including peanuts for Birdsong Peanuts, construction materials, packing products, and of course cotton.

Each of our warehouses spans 44,000 square feet, with space to keep a large quantity of cotton. Whether you require cotton storage for stock overflow or a place between shipments, we’ve got the space.

Some of the ways we go above and beyond to serve Moultrie business owners include:

Attention to Detail and Product Knowledge

It’s important to us that any material we handle is properly stored. Our team is trained on how to load, unload, and stack each type of product, including cotton. We stack cotton bales vertically and in rows, leaving appropriate space between stacks for airflow and movement.

Careful Handling and Distribution

Moultrie Warehouse and Storage employees never toss or roughly handle materials coming in or going out. Everything is transported using the appropriate equipment and placed carefully and evenly on the ground or next bale.

Humidity Control Cotton Storage

Humidity is an issue for the cotton industry, and we’ve got plenty to spare in Georgia. To reduce moisture and humidity in our warehouses, we implement a fan system to circulate and cool airflow.

Well-Kept Warehouses

Our warehouses are impeccably kept. We ensure they are clean, organized, and continuously maintained. Some of our clients store food in our warehouses. It’s important that facilities remain sanitary. You can count on us to have cotton shipments leave just as they’ve arrived.

Preparation and Consistency are Key

Using a third-party storage warehouse for cotton limits hiccups in your logistics chain. Through preparation and consistency, cotton businesses can completely avoid operations and shipping stalls caused by storage uncertainty.

As your bales arrive or leave your facility, we facilitate the storage and reshipment process. Cotton is kept safe and secure in our warehouse until you’re ready for the next step in the workflow.

Our cotton storage will house the bales until you need them. We can even circulate inventory, so it’s first in, first out to maintain the freshness of the cotton.

Our Warehouse is Dedicated to Your Product

A rising concern with third-party storage facilities is contract length. We get a lot of questions about warehouse availability. We work closely with our clients to ensure you have cotton storage for as long as it’s needed. Our contracts are flexible and customizable based on need.

We know Moultrie doesn’t have a lot of options for large warehouse storage. Many businesses drive out to Tifton or Valdosta for bulk storage. We’re pleased to offer local warehouse services for companies across Georgia.

There’s no concern that Moultrie Warehouse and Storage will be closing our doors anytime soon. For more than two decades, we’ve been serving businesses in the community, and we’ll be here for many more to come. You can depend on us to store your cotton year-round.

Full-Service Cotton Warehouse

Our cotton storage services operate out of a full-service warehouse. This means from start to finish, you can count on our experienced team to unload, load, and ship cotton as needed. Some details to consider include:

  • Quick and Timely Shipments: Time is critical in cotton shipments. We’ve got your back with timely shipping to ensure you meet deadlines and keep on budget.
  • Operating Times: We offer regular workweek loading and unloading between Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Shipments by Appointment: We also provide alternative shipping and loading times by appointment outside of regular business hours.
  • Multiple Warehouses: At Moultrie Warehouse and Storage, we have nine fully operational warehouses for lease. Right now, 1 of 9 are available and can be booked by appointment over the phone.

If, for some reason, we don’t have warehouse availability when you get in touch, we will place you on our waiting list. You’ll be the first to know when a space becomes available for cotton storage.

Cotton Warehouse FAQs

With the cotton industry continuously changing with state and federal restrictions, we know storage is more important than ever before. Many of our clients have questions about the storage process and risk coverage we have in place.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive:

A. Absolutely not. We have rodent control in all our warehouses to deter pests. We also have routine inspections performed inside and outside of warehouses to check for signs of rodents or potential rodent entry points. Your cotton is safe with us.

Q. Is there fire protection?

A. Of course. Our warehouses are all fitted with certified sprinkler systems and under city fire protection.

Q. Do you have insurance on your cotton warehouses?
